Late last week (Feb. 8th, 2019), Burlington Training Center (BTC) Fight Promotion announced main-event match-up for their fifth event between Kyle Prepolec and Curtis DeMarce for the super lightweight title. The lineup of fights continues to grow as the rather new Ontario based organization announced two additional bouts, joining the March 9th fight card in Windsor, Ontario.

Fighting out of Burlington, ON, where he trains at Burlington Training Center, Adam ‘Maverick’ Assenza will compete for the 15th time in his professional mixed martial arts career, opposite of Caleb ‘American Made’ Williams, who fights out of Coconut Creek, Florida.

Both 9-5 in their MMA careers, Assenza and Williams have 15 finishes (submissions and knockouts) combined. While both are crafty standing and on the mat, ‘Maverick’ and ‘American Made’ are both coming off of loses, looking to out-perform the other, positioning them back inside the win column.

Joining the March 9th card is Woodrow James vs. Jesse Walthers, which was announced alongside the Assenza vs. Williams news.

Woodrow James, a fellow “Ontarian” is fighting out of Sarnia, Ontario, and will make his BTC debut at the up-and-coming event BTC 5: Typhoon. 2-0 in his professional MMA career, James holds an unblemished record, however, it’s been nearly five years since Woodrow last competed.

On October 26th, 2013, James made his professional MMA debut at PFC 1, where he was victorious by technical knockout (TKO). He wouldn’t competed until June of next year, where he would again score a TKO win at PFS 3. Now five years later, Woodrow will look to emulate what he did years ago, revitalizing his MMA career and love for the sport.

Burlington Training Center Fight Promotions is eyeing 12 bouts for their fifth event. The first fight of the evening will start at 7:00pm EST, and tickets are priced from $19.99, on sale now at ticketscene.ca.
