NEW YORK CITY (May 8, 2019) — The Professional Fighters League (PFL), the first organization ever to present MMA in the sports-season format of Regular Season, Playoffs, and Championship, today announced the launch of the official PFL Live app, available for download on Apple iTunes and Google Play stores. Developed in partnership with Kiswe Mobile, the PFL Live app is designed to enhance the second screen experience for fight fans around the world, catering to the ever-connected, engaged and global viewing audience through livestreams, gaming, social hangouts, exclusive content, news, scores, results, stats and more.

“The PFL continues to lead with innovation inside and outside the cage. We are committed to engaging directly with fans around the world with great live fight action, real-time data and analytics on fighter performance, exclusive content and more,” said Peter Murray, CEO of the PFL. “Kiswe is a game changing, innovative partner that shares in our commitment to elevating the fan experience. Together, we are excited to optimize the mobile experience for our global audience from over 150 countries around the world by creating authentic and engaging touchpoints before, during, and after fight night.”

“The PFL Live app will enhance the viewing experience for millions of fight fans around the world, providing them with a platform to further connect with the league, our fighters and the MMA community while in stadium, at home, or on-the-go,” said Daniel Ghosh-Roy, Chief Digital Officer of the PFL. “MMA fans are full of passion and love for the sport, and through the PFL Live app we will keep them engaged with our product through the regular season, playoffs and championship.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with the PFL to help them connect with their growing global audience in an impactful, personal, and engaging manner,” said Mike Schabel, CEO of Kiswe Mobile. “Watching sports is a social experience, and MMA fans are highly engaged, active, and yearning for more differentiated content. We have the tools to bring fans together and we look forward to elevating the PFL viewing experience through Kiswe’s mobile technology.”

The PFL will leverage Kiswe’s cutting edge mobile technology to provide fans with in-app gaming experiences, ranging from trivia, polls, and quizzes, to a custom pick ‘em game. Points earned can be redeemed for merchandise, tickets, experiences and more. PFL fans can interact with each other in public or private “Hangs” before, during and after PFL’s Thursday Night events, airing on ESPN2, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes. Additionally, the PFL Live app leverages Kiswe’s CloudCast technology to stream every event for fans outside of the United States and Canada in their native languages.

The PFL Live app will provide fans with access to weigh-ins, workouts, press conferences and other live streams. Fans can follow the PFL over the course of its Regular Season, Playoffs and Championship format, with schedules, scores, results, stats, standings, interviews, fighter bios, and news; readily accessible in a user-friendly and highly personalized interface.

The PFL is bringing MMA action to Thursday nights beginning May 9, 6:30pm ET. Every PFL event will air across ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN+, – the leading multi-sport streaming service, in addition to TSN in Canada, and on a wide and diverse group of premier global distribution partner platforms reaching over 150 countries around the world.

About Professional Fighters League

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) presents MMA for the first time in the sport-season format where individual fighters control their own destiny, competing in a regular season, playoffs, and championship.  PFL’s differentiated format and exciting fights sparked breakout growth for the league.   PFL events are Thursday nights primetime live on ESPN2 and ESPN+.

The PFL 2019 Season features elite MMA athletes across six weight classes, including the first-ever 155-pound women’s division, with each fighter having two fights during the PFL Regular Season in May, June, July, and August.  The top eight fighters in each weight class advance to the single-elimination PFL Playoffs in October, where fighters must fight twice and win twice in the same night to advance to the finals.  PFL Championship is New Year’s Eve with the winners of each title bout being crowned PFL World Champion of their respective weight class and earning $1 million.  Viewers will be delivered next-gen stats never before seen in MMA through the PFL’s proprietary SmartCage™ platform and Cagenomics™ technology.

PFL is backed by an investor group of sports, media, entertainment, and business titans.  Watch PFL live Thursday nights in the U.S. on ESPN2, ESPN+, ESPN Deportes.  PFL is also available in 130 countries around the world with leading local broadcasters.
