EVLOEV VS. MURPHY: FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE PICTURE AT STAKE
Movsar Evloev (19-0-0), fighting out of Sunzha, Ingushetia, Russia, enters the main event as one of the most dominant and methodical grapplers in the featherweight division. Undefeated in his professional career, Evloev has rattled off nine straight UFC victories, earning notable wins over former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling, Arnold Allen, and Diego Lopes. A win in London could finally propel Evloev into a long-awaited title shot.
Standing across from him is Manchester’s own Lerone Murphy (17-0-1), who headlines a UFC event in London for the first time. Unbeaten in 11 UFC appearances, Murphy is riding a wave of momentum following his spectacular Knockout of the Year performance against Aaron Pico at UFC 319 in August. Known for his calm demeanor and explosive finishing ability, Murphy now has the opportunity to make history on home soil and leap directly into title contention.
BRITISH TALENT SHINES THROUGHOUT STACKED CARD
Liverpool’s Luke Riley (12-0-0) returns after a sensational UFC debut in Qatar, where he scored an emphatic knockout victory over Bogdan Grad. Riley’s confidence and finishing instinct will be tested against Michael Aswell Jr. (11-3-0) of Houston, Texas, who brings relentless pressure and a well-rounded skill set following his first-round win over Lucas Almeida.
London fan favorite Michael “Venom” Page (24-3-0) also returns to action, taking on streaking welterweight Sam Patterson (14-2-1), who enters the bout on a four-fight win streak.
