In a unique collaboration between the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization and the nation’s leading law enforcement agency, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have announced a groundbreaking partnership that will bring elite MMA training to the FBI Special Agent Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
The two organizations will host a first-of-its-kind exclusive training seminar on March 14 and 15 at the academy, where current and former UFC athletes will work directly with FBI academy students and senior FBI staff from around the world. The event will provide agents with a unique opportunity to learn techniques and training approaches from some of the sport’s most accomplished fighters.
The seminar will take place at the FBI’s renowned training facility in Quantico. During the sessions, UFC athletes will demonstrate combat techniques, discuss their training regimens, and share insights into preparing for high-level competition. The program aims to give FBI trainees practical knowledge that could enhance their defensive and tactical capabilities in the field.
“This is an incredible opportunity for our athletes to experience, and we’re proud to support the FBI in strengthening their defense techniques,” said Dana White. “I have tremendous respect for the FBI and the work they do every day to protect this country. Our UFC fighters are some of the baddest men and women on the planet and they are heading to Quantico to train the best FBI agents in mixed martial arts.”
FBI leadership also emphasized the value of the collaboration in helping agents prepare for real-world challenges.
“I’m thrilled to announce this historic seminar between the FBI and the UFC at Quantico,” said Kash Patel. “This is a tremendous opportunity for our FBI agents to learn and train with some of the greatest athletes on earth—helping the world’s premier law enforcement agency be even better prepared to protect the American people.”
The training seminar will feature an impressive lineup of fighters and MMA figures representing the UFC. Among those scheduled to participate are interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, inaugural BMF champion Jorge Masvidal, former middleweight champion Chris Weidman, former strawweight title challenger Claudia Gadelha, former lightweight title challenger Michael Chandler, top flyweight contender Manel Kape, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend Renzo Gracie. UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard will also be present during the event.
The collaboration is part of a broader initiative by the FBI to expand its training methods and introduce innovative techniques to its agents. By working with elite combat athletes, the agency hopes to further strengthen its preparedness and operational readiness.
Founded in 1993, the UFC has grown into the global leader in mixed martial arts, boasting more than 700 million fans worldwide and producing over 40 live events annually. The promotion broadcasts events to more than 950 million households across over 210 countries and territories and features athletes representing more than 75 nations.
Meanwhile, the FBI continues to serve as the United States’ primary domestic intelligence and law enforcement agency, employing approximately 38,000 personnel dedicated to protecting the country from violent crime, terrorism, espionage, cyber threats, and other national security challenges.
With elite fighters stepping into the training room alongside federal agents, the upcoming seminar at Quantico marks a rare crossover between professional combat sports and national law enforcement training—one that both organizations hope will strengthen skills, preparedness, and collaboration moving forward.
