The UFC is bringing a blockbuster headliner to International Fight Week as former two-division champion Conor McGregor returns to action for the first time in five years to rematch former featherweight champion Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 329.
Set for Saturday, July 11, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, UFC 329: McGregor vs. Holloway 2 promises a stacked lineup, highlighted by a welterweight showdown between two fan favorites meeting again 13 years after their first encounter.
The event’s main card will begin at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT and stream live on Paramount+, while prelims start at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT. Early prelim action gets underway at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT on Paramount+ and UFC Fight Pass.
McGregor Returns After Five-Year Hiatus
McGregor (22-6), fighting out of Dublin, Ireland, makes his long-awaited return looking to remind fans why he became one of the UFC’s biggest global stars. Known for his precision striking and knockout power, McGregor owns memorable finishes over former champions and contenders including Eddie Alvarez, Jose Aldo, and Donald Cerrone.
Now stepping up to welterweight for the rematch, McGregor hopes to secure a second win over Holloway and reignite his championship ambitions in dramatic fashion.
Holloway Seeks Redemption in Rematch
Holloway (27-9), representing Waianae, Hawaii, enters the fight determined to spoil McGregor’s comeback and settle unfinished business. The former BMF titleholder remains one of the sport’s most beloved action fighters and owns standout victories over elite competition including Justin Gaethje, Chan Sung Jung, and Brian Ortega.
With 13 years having passed since their first clash, Holloway now has the chance to even the score on one of MMA’s biggest stages.
Saint Denis and Pimblett Clash in Lightweight Contender Bout
The co-featured attraction pits No. 5 ranked lightweight contender Benoît Saint Denis against No. 6 ranked Paddy Pimblett in a matchup with major divisional implications.
Saint Denis (17-3, 1 NC) enters on a four-fight win streak after an impressive TKO victory over Dan Hooker in February and also holds wins over Beneil Dariush, Mauricio Ruffy, and Matt Frevola.
Meanwhile, Pimblett (23-4) rides momentum from a Fight of the Year contender against Gaethje and seeks to break into the lightweight Top 5 following victories over Michael Chandler, King Green, and Tony Ferguson.
Sandhagen vs. Bautista Rematch Among Key Featured Bouts
Another featured contest sees No. 4 ranked bantamweight contender Cory Sandhagen rematch No. 8 ranked Mario Bautista in a high-stakes battle at 135 pounds.
