Las Vegas – The UFC® is set to light up Las Vegas once again as it returns to the world-famous T-Mobile Arena for a championship doubleheader at UFC® 320: Ankalaev vs. Pereira 2, taking place Saturday, October 4. Headlining the blockbuster card is a high-stakes rematch for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship, as reigning champion Magomed Ankalaev defends his title against the dangerous former champ Alex Pereira. In the co-main event, dominant bantamweight king Merab Dvalishvili puts his belt on the line against surging contender Cory Sandhagen.
Tickets for UFC® 320 go on sale Friday, August 8 at 10 a.m. PT via AXS.com. UFC Fight Club® members will have exclusive early access beginning Wednesday, August 6, and UFC newsletter subscribers can participate in a special Internet pre-sale on Thursday, August 7.
⚔️ MAIN EVENT: ANKALAEV vs. PEREIRA 2
Fresh off a career-defining victory that earned him the 205-pound crown, Magomed Ankalaev (20-1-1, 1NC, fighting out of Makhachkala, Russia) returns to defend his newly claimed title and silence any doubts about his reign. A clinical striker with punishing power, Ankalaev has compiled wins over elite competition including Aleksandar Rakić, Johnny Walker, and Anthony Smith. Now, he looks to leave no question in the rematch against the always-dangerous Pereira.
Standing across from him is Alex Pereira (12-3, fighting out of Danbury, Conn. by way of São Paulo, Brazil), a fearsome knockout artist and two-division world champion. Known for his violent finishes and ice-cold demeanor, Pereira has taken out legends like Israel Adesanya, Jiří Procházka, and Jamahal Hill. After losing his light heavyweight strap to Ankalaev, “Poatan” is hellbent on redemption and reclaiming his title.
🏆 CO-MAIN EVENT: DVALISHVILI vs. SANDHAGEN
Bantamweight king Merab Dvalishvili (20-4, fighting out of Long Island, N.Y. by way of Tbilisi, Georgia) has become one of the UFC’s most dominant forces. Riding a 12-fight win streak, the cardio machine and relentless grappler has bested some of the biggest names in the division—including back-to-back wins over Sean O’Malley, as well as Umar Nurmagomedov and Henry Cejudo. Ranked No. 3 on the UFC’s pound-for-pound list, Dvalishvili seeks to add another scalp to his resume and continue his dominant reign.
His challenger, Cory Sandhagen (18-5, fighting out of Aurora, Colo.), is widely regarded as one of the most dynamic strikers in the sport. With victories over former champs and elite contenders like Deiveson Figueiredo, Rob Font, and Marlon Vera, Sandhagen has climbed the ranks with creativity, precision, and grit. Now, he gets his shot at gold and the chance to become a UFC champion for the first time.
