The event, UFC Fight Night: Moicano vs. Duncan, also features a key strawweight matchup between No. 3 ranked Virna Jandiroba and No. 7 ranked Tabatha Ricci.
The event will stream live on Paramount+, with preliminary bouts beginning at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT, followed by the main card at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
Lightweight Main Event: Moicano vs. Duncan
Fan favorite Renato Moicano (20-7-1), fighting out of Brasília, Brazil, returns to action looking to deliver another standout performance. A dangerous Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and former UFC lightweight title challenger, Moicano has built a reputation as one of the division’s most skilled submission specialists. His victories over Benoit Saint Denis, Brad Riddell, and Alexander Hernandez showcased his elite grappling and finishing ability.
Moicano now looks to kick off his 2026 campaign in style and reassert himself among the lightweight elite.
Standing across from him will be Chris Duncan (15-2) of Glasgow, Scotland, who enters the biggest fight of his career riding a four-fight winning streak. Duncan has proven himself to be a dangerous finisher, earning stoppage victories over Terrance McKinney, Jordan Vucenic, and Bolaji Oki. With momentum firmly on his side, Duncan will look to seize the opportunity of his first UFC main event and potentially crack the lightweight Top 15.
Strawweight Contenders Collide
In the co-main attraction, elite grappler Virna Jandiroba (22-4) returns following her recent challenge for the UFC strawweight championship. Fighting out of Bahia, Brazil, Jandiroba is one of the most accomplished submission artists in the division’s history and is currently tied for the most submission attempts ever in the weight class with 16. Her victories over Yan Xiaonan, Amanda Lemos, and Loopy Godinez highlight her dominance on the mat.
She now faces fellow Brazilian Tabatha Ricci (12-3), who trains out of Ventura, California. A black belt in both Brazilian jiu-jitsu and judo, Ricci has proven to be one of the division’s most well-rounded fighters with wins over Amanda Ribas, Angela Hill, and Tecia Pennington. Ricci enters the bout determined to become the first fighter to finish Jandiroba and take a major step toward title contention.
