Dvalishvili vs. O’Malley 2, Peña vs. Harrison set to electrify the Prudential Center
NEWARK, NJ — The Octagon returns to the Garden State with a vengeance as UFC® 316: DVALISHVILI vs. O’MALLEY 2 lands at Newark’s Prudential Center on Saturday, June 7. Headlined by two high-stakes title fights, this blockbuster event promises to deliver a night of elite MMA action on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
In the main event, newly crowned UFC Bantamweight Champion Merab Dvalishvili puts his title on the line in a rematch against former champion and No. 1 contender “Sugar” Sean O’Malley. The co-main event features Julianna Peña, defending her women’s bantamweight strap against two-time Olympic gold medalist and surging UFC star Kayla Harrison.
Bantamweight Showdown: Dvalishvili vs. O’Malley 2
Fresh off his championship triumph, Dvalishvili (19-4) rides an unmatched 11-fight win streak—the longest in UFC bantamweight history. With signature wins over UFC standouts including Henry Cejudo and Umar Nurmagomedov, “The Machine” now aims to silence any remaining doubters in a high-stakes rematch against the fan-favorite O’Malley.
Sean O’Malley (18-2) looks to reclaim the title he lost to Dvalishvili last September. Known for his highlight-reel finishes and slick striking, “Sugar” returns to the Octagon seeking redemption and a shot at legacy-defining gold.
Co-Main Event: Peña vs. Harrison
After recapturing her bantamweight crown, Julianna Peña (12-5) has her sights set on making history once again. With wins over legends like Amanda Nunes and Raquel Pennington, “The Venezuelan Vixen” now faces what may be her toughest challenge yet in Kayla Harrison.
A former PFL champion and Olympic judo gold medalist, Harrison (18-1) has made a thunderous entrance into the UFC with dominant wins over Holly Holm and Ketlen Vieira. Now just one fight away from UFC gold, she’s ready to seize the spotlight.
