Alexander Gueche MVP Most Valuab;e Prospects 12 - MMA Fight Coverage - Penny Buffington - Orlando

ORLANDO, FL (April 22, 2025) – Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) continues its mission to spotlight boxing’s brightest rising stars with Most Valuable Prospects 12, set to take place Friday, May 9 at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. Streaming live and free globally on DAZN.com and the DAZN app, the event features the debut of MVP’s newest signees — 15x amateur national champion Nat “No Love” Dove and knockout artist Alexander “The Alley Cat” Gueche — as they join a stacked card headlined by undefeated Cuban Olympian Dainier Pero in a WBA Continental USA heavyweight title bout.

Main Card Bangers: Dove Fights for Equality, Gallegos Returns to MVP

Opening the main card, Nat “No Love” Dove (5-0, 1 KO) continues her rise in the bantamweight division, facing El Paso’s Nayeli Rodriguez (3-0) in a 6-round, 118lb clash. But this isn’t just another fight. Dove, a standout amateur and rising star from Philadelphia, is making a statement — becoming the latest woman in the MVP roster to fight under equal rules to men with three-minute rounds.

Dove enters the bout on a four-fight winning streak, including a highlight-reel KO over Michel Novas in March. Trained in Atlanta alongside MVP stablemate Javon “Wanna” Walton and managed by DJ Walton, Dove brings a high-pressure, technical style that’s overwhelmed every opponent to date. Rodriguez, undefeated and making her U.S. debut, will have the chance to play spoiler against one of the sport’s most talked-about prospects.

Also on the main card, Kaipo Gallegos (8-0-1, 6 KOs) returns to the MVP spotlight to face Mexico’s Pedro Castaneda (8-0-1, 5 KOs) in an 8-round super featherweight showdown. Gallegos, a 19-year-old WBO Youth World Champion and 18x national amateur titlist, is riding high after dominant wins over Iron Alvarez and Leonardo Padilla. But Castaneda, a relentless pressure fighter from Juárez, brings serious pop and a reputation for breaking opponents with bodywork.

Heavyweights Headline, Orlando’s Own Marksman in Co-Main

The night’s main event features undefeated heavyweight and Olympic standout Dainier “The Fear” Pero (10-0, 8 KOs) battling for the WBA Continental USA title against Cesar Navarro (13-2, 11 KOs). In the co-main event, Orlando’s own Corey “2Smoove” Marksman (10-0-1, 7 KOs) will put his undefeated record on the line against Southern California slugger Tayden “The Butcher” Beltran (10-0-1, 5 KOs) in what promises to be a war at 135 lbs.

Prelims Bring the Heat: Gueche Debuts, Ariel Perez Returns

The preliminary card is headlined by light heavyweight knockout artist Ariel “Golden Hulk” Perez (6-0, 4 KOs), who takes on Mario Bedolla (4-3, 3 KOs). Perez, a Tampa favorite, is coming off back-to-back knockout wins and is quickly becoming one of Florida’s top prospects.

Joining him is MVP’s latest signee Alexander Gueche (7-0, 5 KOs), a 19-year-old phenom from Long Beach, California. The former #1 ranked youth amateur is making noise in the bantamweight division with five stoppage wins in just seven fights. Gueche’s flashy combinations and precision punching have already earned him comparisons to some of the sport’s elite.

Other rising stars to watch include:

  • Elise Soto (7-0, 7 KOs) vs. Colleen Davis (4-2-1, 1 KO) – Super Featherweight
  • Quincy Williams (4-0, 4 KOs) – Welterweight (4 rounds)
  • David Ramirez Lima – Lightweight debut (4 rounds)
  • Jeremy Adorno (9-1, 5 KOs) vs. Jonathan Gabriel Pachado (6-1, 2 KOs) – Featherweight
